KingsWay Community Church, located at 14111 Sovereign Grace Dr., in Midlothian will be hosting Financial Peace University (FPU), a 13-week program taught by Dave Ramsey, starting Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. The course has helped more than 750,000 families positively change their financial future, according to the press release. “This is the perfect program for the financial times we find ourselves in,” said pastoral intern Ken Delage. “It takes a detailed look at all aspects.”

According to the release, “the life-changing program teaches families and individuals how to handle their money through common-sense principles and small group accountability.” Delage agreed. “It really takes a look at every different area of the family and what it takes to be a good steward,” he said.

The course, open to the public, cost $150 per family. “One kit comes with it. It is good for teenagers to walk through the program too when they’ll have a lot of responsibilities,” Delage said. 

The church will be offering child care for the 13-week program. “We feel it is important for mom and dad to come. This requires making real changes in budget and lifestyles and decisions that you’re making,” he said. “To come to a place of common vision where decisions are easier to make, we want to make it possible for both parents.”
