Millwood School’s 8th grade French class, taught by Mrs. Carol Lenti, enjoyed a visit to the Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA on October 31.  The six students, Taylor Thompson, Abby Bowen, Robbie Rittenhouse, Hunter Mitchell, Emily Berger, and Bettina Geissbuehler took a tour of the campus, sat in on a freshman French class, and had lunch in the cafeteria.  They met Robert Lingren, President of the college.

However, the most important part of the visit was attending a talk given by His Excellency Pierre Vimont, the French ambassador to the United States. The ambassador spoke on France’s role in the European Union and on the problems facing France today.
