SIMONSON, Harold L., of Midlothian, Va., born October 25, 1944 in Alexandria, Va., passed away December 23, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Ethel-May Simonson; one son, William “Buck” Simonson and his wife, Lois; his beloved grandson, Sterling Lot Simonson; two sisters, June Burns of Georgia and Dorothy Simonson of Leesburg, Va.; two brothers, Larry Simonson of Clarkesville, Va. and Stanley Simonson and his wife, Judy, of Chesterfield; one sister-in-law, Mary Kunkeli of Barryville, N.Y., plus numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Buckley Curtis and father, John Willis Simonson; and one brother, Nolan Armentrout.

As an active member of New Journey Church with the love of his family and friends, Harold fought a courageous battle for over three years, but never gave up his faith in God. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Elkhardt Baptist Church.
