WHEAL, John A., 88, of Midlothian, passed away December 25, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sue Wheal; son, Gregory J. Wheal and his wife, Dawn E. Wheal; grandchildren, Jessica Miles and her husband, Christian, Capt. Gregory C. Wheal, David M. Dieter; and a brother, Walter A. Wheal.

He was a graduate of Milliken University and the University of Wyoming, and a member of the American Legion.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, December 28, 2009, at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Va., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association.
