Douglas Freeman Rebels Lacrosse will host the second fall charity lacrosse tournament Nov. 8 at the University of Richmond intramural fields.

Teams will play full-field, round-robin games and high school teams will play a minimum of three 25-minute games. The cost is $200 per team with all proceeds going to the Blue Sky Fund, which was selected by student leaders as the charity of choice for this year.

Girls’ registration begins at 9 a.m. on the day of play with games running from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Boys’ registration is at 1 p.m. and play is from 2-5 p.m. For more tournament information contact girls’ tournament director Lawson Wijesooriya at or student leader Evie Kling at or contact boys’ tournament director Blake Eudailey at .

The Blue Sky fund has a mission of providing transformational experiences for urban youth through outdoor education. The fund exists to mentor and educate at-risk youth through after-school and weekend adventure programs and to provide “camperships” to young people to attend summer camp. Participants in the program are primarily Richmond City Public School students living in under resourced neighborhoods. More information on the fund at http://www.blueskyfund.org.
