Hundreds of middle school runners converged on the Hardy National Course at Fork Union Military Academy Oct. 4.

Midlothian Middle School runners Sean Willard and Matthew Pickering finished first and second in the boys’ invitational meet. Willard set a new course record with a time of 17:00.23. Pickering came in at 17:40.10.

Also in the top-10 were Mac Strehler from St. Michael’s at seventh with a time of 18:50.74 and Reider Strehler in ninth with a time of 18:59.59.
