ACAC Fitness & Wellness Center is proud to announce the opening of a new Kidz Zone, providing over 3,445 additional square feet of fun for kids. The new area features a variety of resources to keep even the most inquisitive toddler and discerning tween engaged while promoting physical activity. The space boasts spider mountain climbing adventure, air hockey, hoop fever basketball game, dance dance revolution, claw machine, wii games and a full first floor for the younger kids complete with soft play blocks as large as they are. Recently overheard from 8 year old Julia Lain, “That’s not the Kids Zone, that’s the Promised Land!”  A wide eyed Christina Lobosco, 8, wowed “How do spiders do that!” upon seeing spider mountain climbing adventure. 

To kick off the grand opening, a Kidz Zone Open House will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 from noon - 4pm. Parents and children are invited to come see what all the talk is about and experience it for themselves. Festivities will kick-off at noon with the Robious Middle School Cheerleaders warming up the crowd. Cathy the Clown will be providing lots of laughs from 12-2pm and Radio Disney will be on-hand jamming from 1-2:30pm. Also hogging the spotlight will be Smithfield the Painting Pig, with performances at 1:30 and 2:30pm. You might have seen Smithfield on America’s Got Talent and The Ellen Show! This open house is sure to be a good time for parents and kids alike.

Kidz Zone is part of a $7 million improvement plan that has included an outdoor Waterpark, new locker rooms, 17 resurfaced hard, clay and har-tru courts as well as climate controlled indoor courts, a new Group Exercise Studio, basketball court, outdoor turf field, Mind~Body Suite, new front entrance and Adventure Central Kid’s Wing (which houses a Before & After School program, Youth and Preschool programs such as art and fitness classes, Summer Camp, and monthly Kidz Night Out programs).
